Wow, this snowstorm is insane! Already 1 foot came down and the weather seems to be getting worse as it passes. Times like this usually means (well for me) - making a nice hot cup of hot chocolate then replacing and repairing laptop motherboards.

Looks like the first notebook up is a hp pavilion zd7000 series which just needs a motherboard replacement. After taking apart the computer, I finally found the part # sticker with 365892-001 written on it so now that I got the right part, I can start putting the laptop PC back together.

I already know from experience but part number 365892-001 in technical terms is a "System board - Integrated nVIDIA Geforce FX Go5200 (NV34M) graphic chipset 64MB dedicated onboard video graphics memory on a 128bit bus, 8X AGP and integrated 10/100Base-T Ethernet LAN". The install is a little time consuming but not very hard at all and a lot of people choose to replace it themselves.
