Laptop Motherboard Replacement & Repair

367799-001 HP Pavilion dv1000 dv1100 dv1200 and Compaq Presario V2000 V2100 V2200 Intel Laptop Motherboard

Late last week I did do a repair on a dv1000 laptop and forgot to put up the results. This post is going to be pretty straight forward as I'm always in the process of updating laptop motherboard guide's database. The motherboard inside the customers dv1000 notebook was 367799-001 which I was familiar with. I must say, I am loving my wireless notebook mouse more and more each day.

367799-001 reference description from HP is "PC Board : Motherboard with Centrino technology - Includes the Intel 855GM chipset with 400MHz processor side bus and integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2, up to 64MB video memory".

HP Pavilion dv1000, dv1100 dv1200 and Compaq Presario V2000, V2100, V2200 Series Intel Chipset ONLY Notebook PC's.

   Hi,

   I also have a HP DV1000. The laptop is complety dead. When the adapter is connected no lights come one. Do dou know on which part of the motherboard I would need to look.

    If it is the motherboard, you most likely need a brand new one and not just one part. Replacing a laptop motherboard is the way to go because trying to narrow it down to 1 thing will cost more than just replacing it. If you have a dv1000, you would need part number 367799-001 as long as your laptop has a Intel processor.

    If you search the part number you need on the top left of the page, you will find a company who has 25+ of that motherboard in stock.

    Otherwise a local repair shop is your best bet.
