417037-001 HP Pavilion dv2000 Compaq Presario V3000 DF Intel Notebook Motherboard

Earlier today I finished up replacing a laptop motherboard on a friends HP dv2000. After getting the computer in my hands, I noticed his machine was definitely more on the older side so I was just hoping I had the correct part number in handy to get this one out of my way. I got the machine opened and the systemboard inside was 417037-001.

That part no. mentioned above specifications are as follows - "Motherboard (system board) without memory - De-featured (DF), with Intel 945GM chipset".

I also should note that you can also use 417037-001 system board in the following laptops: HP Pavilion dv2000T CTO, dv2047tu, dv2049tx and Compaq Presario V3100 CTO, V3100T CTO, V3101TU, V3102XX, V3110CA, V3110TU, V3117TU, V3118TU, V3120TU, V3121TU, V3126TU, V3156TU, V3158TU, V3162TU, V3195TU series notebooks.

  1. One day I was surfing web and suddenly I discovered your site. I can’t thank you enough for saving me $350 from IBM.

  2. Your welcome, glad to be of a help.

  3. Hi, can you explain exactly what is a de-featured motherboard versus a “regular” full featured motherboard. I would like to replace the one in my own dv2000 but what will not work without the “features” on the original board. My board is 440777-001 and the one I am looking at is 440778-001.
    Thanks

  4. Buy the board which your laptop uses now and match up part numbers exactly. Full featured usually means it has extras like hdmi port or something unique but they are not interchangeable.

  5. So there is no way to fit this motherboard into the AMD version of the V3000 DF notebook? What other parts are different between the AMD version and the Intel version for the v3000 model? I am willing to open up a few holes or minor alterations. I am afraid the Nvidia IGP issue will resurface even with a new replacement AMD motherboard.
