434722-001 HP Pavilion dv6000 dv6100 dv6200 dv6300 dv6400 Intel Full Featured Laptop Motherboard
Finding the correct laptop motherboard to buy can be a very long and annoying process, unlike shopping for the best bluetooth mouse. Lately I have been getting a lot of questions from people with HP dv6000 series laptop motherboard issues & problems. I want to talk about pn: 434722-001.
When you search for a hp dv6000 laptop systemboard... you will get ridiculous amounts of motherboards with part numbers and each one seems to contain completely different compatibility. In an effort to try and end all of the laptop motherboard confusion, I will post the motherboard compatibility for PART SPECIFIC hp dv6000 series laptops.
Starting with HP part number 434722-001 which is the HP Pavilion dv6000, dv6100, dv6200, dv6300 & dv6400 Series Full Featured (FF) Intel Core Duo nVIDIA G72M Laptop Motherboard. The HP factory specs on 434722-001 come out to "PC Board : System board (motherboard) without memory - Full-featured (FF), nVIDIA G72M chipset, CPU Socket PGA479M Intel Core Duo CPU."
434722-001 is compatible and works only with the HP Compaq Pavilion dv6000, dv6100, dv6200, dv6300 and dv6400 series laptops that use INTEL CORE DUO PROCESSORS ONLY!

Do you know the HP spares part number for this board but for models that require AMD CPU’s? Thanks
Yes, I am researching this now in HP’s database of part numbers. When I find the PN, I will reply. Thanks and sorry about the little wait.

“On most laptops the power jack is soldered directly to the motherboard and there are only 2-3 pins holding it in place. Unfortunately that makes the power jack quite weak and prone to break easily. Any sideways pulling of the power cord while attached into the the DC jack most likely will make any laptop motherboard will usually dislodge at least one of these pins, breaking the solder around it”.
You could not be more right on this one pal.
I am sad to say that I’m right about that one and the fact that between my family we own many HP’s but I think they don’t care because if something happens… it’s my phone ringing with “my laptop doesn’t work” lol. Thanks for writing.
Hey what’s up. I’ve been looking for this along time. I would of never thought of eBay. THANKS
Helpful Information. Do you know anything about the tablet pc series from compaq?
What does everyone else think?
My DV6000 is less than 3 years old and I spent over £800. The motherboard has been replaced twice. It has failed again and HP want over £200 to replace it. I feel a complete sucker buying this product. Never again.
Yeah, eBay is a great place for products.
