My Tx 1000 stopped working at all. Battery looks good and and Charger works but not even a blink when I try to turn it on other than the wireless ON light. I bet is the motherboard. I´ve done a lot of changes in multple machines but never changed a motherboard. Is this just take it appart and replace it or do I need any special material other than specific screwdriver?
Thanks, the site is great....

anyone replaceing your motherboard in the above mentioned hp tx models.....should DEFinately install a small copper cooling "shim" on your GPU.....this lowers op. temps by AT LEAST 20 degrees....my gpu runs NOMORE than 65 degress rather than the normal and above 85 degrees......you`ll get years more use than the average 2yrs of use....you can find them sold on ebay for around $4-$5.....a WISE investment!!!! good luck all

Hp does overcharge in my opinion and that doesn't even include installation. I'm happy to hear I was able to save you a ton of money. I sound like a Geico commercial lol. Take care.
