461861-001 HP G6000 and Compaq Presario F700 F750 AMD Notebook Motherboard
You'd think by now that the major laptop companies would make the power jacks on motherboards more sturdy and built better considering how often they break.
Most repairs I do are for laptop plugs that snapped off the systemboard. Just finished installing a laptop motherboard in a Compaq F750us series computer which needed hp part #: 461861-001.
This part number is the "System board with ExpressCard assembly (includes replacement thermal material)" and only works with the AMD CPU models. The 461861-001 laptop motherboard works in Compaq Presario F700 F750 and HP G G6000 Series Notebooks. *ONLY WORKS WITH AMD PROCESSORS.

My Bios are corrupt, is it possible to just replace a chip?
not that i know of and it would be alot of money. your cheaper solution would be replacing the whole laptop motherboard.
