480365-001 HP Pavilion dv7 dv7-1000 dv7-1100 Intel Laptop Motherboard

I never did a laptop motherboard replacement and repair on any HP pavilion dv7 series PC computer until the other day. Very different and very annoying in many little ways which just takes a lot of time but not hard and if you have some experience with computers you're in good shape. You basically spend more time just unscrewing everything just to get to the motherboard then actually installing it.

The part #: 480365-001 is a HP's replacement "PC Board : System board - Intel Centrino 2 64-bit processor support - With Intel Mobile 45 chipset and ICH9M Southbridge".

System Board 480365-001 is made for all HP Pavilion dv7 dv7-1000 and dv7-1100 Entertainment Notebooks Models: FH995AV, FH996AV, FH997AV, FH998AAR, FH998AV, FS151UAR, FS151UA, FS152UAR, FS152UA, FS153UAR, FS153UA, FS156UAR, FS156UA, FS157UAR, FS157UA, FS161UAR, FS161UA, FW821EAR, FW821EA, FW823EAR, FW823EA, FW824EAR, FW824EA, FW825EAR, FW825EA, FW827EAR, FW827EA, FW828EAR, FW828EA, FW829EAR, FW829EA, FW841EAR, FW841EA, FW842EAR, FW842EA, FW844EAR, FW844EA, FW845EAR, FW845EA, FW847EAR, FW847EA, FW848EAR, FW848EA, FW849EAR, FW849EA, FW850EA, FW854EAR, FW854EA, FW855EA, FW858EAR, FW858EA, FW859EAR, FW859EA, FZ926PAR, FZ926PA, NE554PAR, NE554PA, NE555PAR, NE555PA, NE682EAR, NE682EA, NE684EA, NE685EA, NF230EAR, NF230EA, NF231EAR, NF231EA, NF232EAR, NF232EA, NF234EAR, NF234EA, NF237EAR, NF237EA.

  1. Got the motherboard very fast, installed it in under an hour and my laptop works like new again. Not to mention I saved over $300 then what hp compaq quoted me.

  2. Hi,

Is there someone that could help me to check if my motherboard is really dead ?

My problem is the following : power led don’t light on when I connect the power cable to my mother board. power supply is ok as i already test it with another pc and with a full battery, the laptop also don’t power on.

I am afraid the motherboard is dead but is there a way to quickly test it ?

For example, if I remove everything connected to the motherboard (ddr2, hard drive, screen, etc…) except power cable should the power led light on ??

Thanks a lot for your help,

    Best regards,

  3. Hi, I forgot to tell that my laptop is a pavilion DV7 1245ef

    regards,

  4. I wish there was a easy way to detect or find a faulty motherboard but there is no easy way. If the machine is worth the money, I would invest in a motherboard to see if it fix’s the problem. There are plenty of people on eBay who charge only $60 plus the price of the motherboard to diagnose and install a new motherboard into your laptop, then they will ship it back to you. Search the box on my site for HP laptop repair and you will see a whole bunch of companies – find one you like and that’s close.

  5. iostrym, I replied to your first comment and no there is no easy way. Sorry to break the news to you :(
