482868-001 HP Pavilion dv5 dv5-1000 dv5t dv5t-1000 Intel Laptop Motherboard
My last post on laptop motherboard 482867-001 might of confused some people who bought the hp dv5 with a Intel chipset rather than the system board using the nVIDIA setup.
Anyone requiring the hp pavilion Intel dv5 laptop motherboard will need part number 482868-001 which hp specifies as a "System board - UMA version, Intel 45nm Core 2 Duo processor support - With Intel Mobile GM45 chipset, ICH9M Southbridge".
Here is a list of laptops I found that use this particular systemboard: HP Pavilion dv5, dv5-1000, dv5t-1000, dv5-1000T, dv5-1007, dv5t-1100, dv5t-1100, dv5-1132, dv5-1138, dv5-1140, dv5-1150, dv5-1000, dv5t-1100, dv5t-1000us dv5-1000us and dv5-1101tu models. *THE 482868-001 PART NUMBER IS ONLY FOR INTEL CHIPSET BASED HP PAVILION DV5 AND DV5T SERIES NOTEBOOKS.
So remember, if your hp pavilion dv5 laptop use's Intel parts instead, you will need to replace it with part number 482868-001 and not the nVIDIA setup which goes under hp spares #: 482867-001.

I have a dv5-1007cl, it has the intel integrated chipset. I was wondering if there is another motherboard that will fit my system so I can upgrade my graphics card. Thanks
Hey, thanks for writing. Unfortunately you must replace your laptop motherboard with the identical part number. Even though the only difference in the video card, it would make your laptop run screwy and could possibly overheat or just completely stop working. Hope you find the info your looking for.
